This section of the website outlines the governance structure of the department. The department is headed by the Director, who represents the structure for all legal purposes and ensures its autonomy and cultural unity. To fulfill its institutional tasks, the Department is endowed with organizational and administrative autonomy regarding all expenditure, contractual, and agreement-related measures that directly concern it. This involves both public and private entities, in accordance with current legislation, strictly excluding any general administrative measures or matters reserved for other bodies identified by the Sapienza Statute. The governing bodies of the Department are: the Department Board, the Director, and the Executive Committee. In managing the Department's activities, the Director is assisted by the Administrative Secretary, who heads the Administrative Secretariat, coordinates administrative and accounting activities, and assumes joint responsibility with the Director for the resulting administrative acts. |
