The Interdepartmental Library of Molecular Medicine and Experimental Medicine was established following the reorganization of the Sapienza University departments and is the result of the merging of several libraries that took place during 2011.
The Library is part of the Sapienza Library System and its activities are coordinated by an interdepartmental technical-scientific committee:
Each year, the Library subscribes online (in “campus” format, accessible to all Sapienza users) or in print to a selection of biomedical journals, and also participates in the purchase of online journal packages together with other libraries in the Biomedical Area.
The Library offers a Document Delivery service, through which users can request articles not directly available in the Library from staff.
The Library is organized into three locations, each with different characteristics, scientific fields, and services offered (Regulations). It also provides, within the Research Unit of Food Science (located at the University City, Piazzale Aldo Moro 5, 00185 Rome, basement floor of the Human Physiology – Biochemistry building), a collection of books dedicated to Food Science and Human Nutrition. This collection includes materials (books and journals) related in particular to the study of nutrients, foods and metabolism, body composition, nutritional status, clinical nutrition, and diet therapy: https://opac.uniroma1.it/SebinaOpacRMS/resource/scienza-dellalimentazione/RMS0885436?tabDoc=tabloca
The material can be consulted by appointment, by sending a request to: lorenzomaria.donini@uniroma1.it
