The Department of Experimental Medicine has been the host of the UNESCO Chair on Urban Health – Education and Research for Improved Health and Wellbeing in the Cities since 2022. The Chair is directed by Professor Andrea Lenzi, Professor Emeritus of the Department.
Within the Chair’s board, faculty members from the Department are represented, including Professor Daniele Gianfrilli and Professor Marianna Minnetti.
The UNESCO Chair on Urban Health supports education in lifestyles and environments that place people and their psychophysical wellbeing at the center, through a multidisciplinary approach that includes local initiatives, health oriented urban planning, and the development of public health networks.
