Welcome Day for PhD students 41st Cycle

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the "Welcome Day" was held for the new PhD students of the 41st cycle of the Department's Doctoral Programs.

It was a well-attended meeting that also saw the presence of PhD students from previous cycles and members of the Academic Boards.

The morning began with institutional greetings from the Department Director, Prof. Andrea Isidori, followed by presentations from the Coordinators of the four PhD programs affiliated with the Department. They outlined the training paths and the specifics of the Courses they coordinate: Endocrinological Sciences (Prof. Andrea Isidori), Network Oncology and Precision Medicine (Prof. Elisabetta Ferretti), Experimental Medicine (Prof. Maurizio Sorice), and Human Biology and Medical Genetics (Prof. Viviana Caputo).

Some PhD students from each Course shared their experiences regarding mobility abroad, corporate research, and co-tutelle thesis projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Department's PhD Administrative Officer, Giacomo Scardigli, took the floor to illustrate the regulatory framework of the PhD program. He informed the new students about the main rights and obligations related to the role of a PhD candidate and the general functioning of the Doctorate.

A social gathering followed, allowing the new PhD students to get to know each other and introduce themselves to the faculty and administrative staff.
